We're all having a grand old ball... chair. Once you fill your home or office with one (or more) of these funky fashion icons the word will soon get a-round how hip you are!
This space age classic is one of our favourites here at Onion HQ, designed by Eero Aarnio in the early 60's as a chair for him to share with his wife. With an ethos to simplify things he took a regular chair and removed all the corners resulting in this molded masterpiece. The design is as comfortable as you can find and capable of being stuffed with as many cushions, small animals or blankets as you you can fit. This circular cocoon encourages you to twirl around and float away to your own planet, almost literally. Positioning the chair in a corner or turning it to face a wall results in a sound blocking effect, perfect for when the other occupants in your immediate vicinity are not as quiet as you require! Also kids, it's great for parental sound suppression.
This sexy sixties sphere is made almost completely from fiberglass which is then painted and the inside upholstered in a weave wool fabric hand stitched together to form an umbrella like pattern. The cushions are filled with a soft foam and the covers are both removable and washable. The base contains cast iron for stability and rounded off with a ball bearing swivel mechanism to allow you to spin the days away.
Relaxing really is fun as it a-spheres!
