And what better than a Tulip that's always in blossom?! This functional flower is part of Saarinen's Tulip or Pedestal collection designed in 1957, it's sculpted design has remained ever popular and as you can see is still being produced today. Saarinen wanted to change the "ugly, confusing, unrestful world" of 4 legged tables and using his experience as a sculptor he created the more serene single form you see today.
Our Tulip tables may be replicas but they do not sacrifice quality, a cast aluminum base is mated to a robust wood top. Both are painted in a matching glossy white coating and the table top sports a laminate surface to protect it from spills, splashes and those toppled glasses. It's the battleground that doesn't give way under foot or food, always left sparkling after the guests have dispersed and it really doesn't care who threw the spaghetti first!
This listing here is for either a 35.5" table which is large enough for 2-4 chairs or a 47" table that can comfortably seat 4-6. Matching Tulip Chairs can be found separately, we have discounted complete sets available too.
